"Broommaking for the Blacksmith" with Jeff Mohr

Jeff began his career in the arts and crafts business in 1976. Jeff apprenticed traditional broom making from a Carolina craftsman for a period of one year. He learned the different styles of tying brooms and creating unique wooden handles. In 1981, Jeff took up a hammer and began blacksmithing. He does interior and exterior architectural iron. In this tape Mr. Mohr shows us how to tie broom straw on to forged handles.
